Hanna is a devoted lover of STEM, who is also actively interested in introducing others to STEM and fueling their passion and curiosity for learning. She is driven by hobbies like research, volleyball, writing, and giving back to the community. Hanna fell in love with volleyball during middle school and has been playing for close to three years. While exploring her passions, she became a Junior Ambassador for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she raised money for heart research through various fundraising activities for the past two years. During her time in Arcadia High School, Hanna also planned different events for students, to promote physical and mental wellbeing as a member of the Wellness Committee at Arcadia Highschool. In one of these events, Hanna organized an event called Heart Month, where she created different activites as well as a video to help students learn more about how to keep their heart healthy. With the passion for giving back to the community, Hanna hopes to inspire the new generation to love science!

Cheryssa loves creating content for fun and helping others out! She also has a big interest towards STEM topics, especially in math, physics and a bit of comp sci, which is why she decided to join WOW! That’s STEM creative team. Cheryssa also plays the violin, enjoys drawing, video games and tutoring people in math. A fun fact about her is that she lived in Canada for most of her life before her sophomore year!

Paisley Flower enjoys drawing and creating collages with different mediums and aspires to become a forensic scientist in criminalistics in the future and share her love for STEM topics with children through the WOW! That’s STEM team. Alongside helping out at STEM workshops, she’ll be found volunteering with children at her church, tending to cats at pet shelters, or expanding her hobbies, such as reading classic novels, practicing color guard tricks, or scooping ice cream at her job at Handel’s!

Warren is a car enthusiast and an aspiring architect. He hopes to share the engineering behind how structures work, as well as other fun aspects of STEM! He has built a lounge chair out of cardboard that supports his own weight. Warren is a detailed person who leaves no stone unturned and loves working with kids. He wishes to spread his love for architecture and structural design with the younger STEM community.
Warren is easy to work with, and he lifts the spirits of those around him. Apart from STEM, Warren is a foodie, a volleyball player, and a connoisseur of old music.

Quinn is into all the sciences, especially biology. She loves animals and learning about life and how organisms work. Music is also a big part of Quinn’s life. She is involved in theater and choir. She loves to sing and play the piano!
Quinn is passionate about WOW! That’s STEM because science is so interesting and she wants to inspire the next generation.

Hannah loves drawing digitally on her iPad using Procreate, playing a wide variety of video games, and designing graphics for her school’s yearbook. She also began to enjoy coding in middle school when she learned web development and Python later on in high school. However, she hasn’t been able to fully pursue this passion at school due to a lack of technical resources, which is why she believes it is important to raise awareness about STEM and create more opportunities for youth, especially those who are underrepresented.

Growing up as an underrepresented youth from a technologically deprived country, Ian has always been an advocate of helping the same group of people, in hopes of giving them access to opportunities he has not had. After being introduced to WOW! That’s stem by a friend, he felt that it would truly be a platform where he can achieve his advocacy. By being a part of the WOW! Chapter leadership team, he hopes to collaborate with not only the organization but also the youth in their journey to explore the endless field of computer science and stem.

Ishaan is passionate about improving himself, whether it is his education or how he presents himself. He has always been fond of dinosaurs and wanted to be a paleontologist as a kid. He believes everyone should have the chance and resources to explore their passions and figure out what inspires them in life. Starting a new chapter would create a greater reach for this goal, especially by opening more opportunities for students interested in STEM to learn, grow, and connect with their curiosity.

Edward is passionate about graphic design, digital creativity, and using visual storytelling to make ideas come to life. What drives him is the power of design to connect, inspire, and make education more engaging. He is also deeply interested in how technology can empower communities and give youth more opportunities to shine.
Why WOW! Inspires him: WOW! That’s STEM is building a space where young people , especially underrepresented youth , feel seen, supported, and inspired to lead. Being part of this mission aligns with his goal to use design as a tool for impact and representation.

Liya has a strong passion for STEM subjects, especially Mathematics, physics, and robotics. She has volunteered in various programs working with children, including tutoring English and organizing diverse educational activities. She has also been actively involved in robotics, and Math club activities, which has enriched her experience in STEM education and youth engagement. These roles allowed her to develop strong communication and leadership skills while creating a positive, supportive learning environment. Through these experiences, she has developed a passion for helping young learners grow and succeed. Beyond STEM, she enjoys drawing and cooking, and she is committed to continuous learning and community involvement.
Liya is excited to inspire more young people through WOW! That’s STEM chapter in her community. She wants to create a supportive and engaging environment for students in her community to explore and enjoy STEM fields. Forming a chapter will allow her to connect with other STEM enthusiasts and empower young learners to pursue their interests confidently.

Priscilla is thrilled to start a WOW! Thats STEM chapter in her community because she has seen many students passionate about STEM, but struggling to take the first step. Her goal is to make STEM more accessible and show them it’s not intimidating. As a fan of sci-fi classics like H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and Ray Bradbury since she was little, she has always been passionate about science and STEM. When she is not studying or focusing on her extracurriculars, you can find her binging shows and movies, reading classics, or playing the guitar. She is excited to share her passion with others and make STEM learning fun and engaging!
